O.S.Engine 71814001 - O.S.SPEED off-road clutch system
Compatible engines: 21-class off-road enginesThis 4-piece clutch was developed for 1/8 off-road cars, and the combination of two types of clutch shoes, flywheel nuts, and three types of clutch springs allows for fine adjustments according to the course layout and road conditions. Compared to conventional 3-piece clutches, it has a smoother clutch engagement and is also advantageous in terms of fuel economy.
Clutch shoes:
1. Changing from the standard "S" to "H" will make the clutch engage more smoothly. We also recommend using two "S" and two "H" shoes, but be sure to install the same type of shoes diagonally.
Clutch springs
2. Changing from the standard "0.95" to "0.9" will allow the clutch to engage at low RPM, and changing to "1.0" will allow the clutch to engage at high RPM. We also recommend using two springs of different thicknesses, but be sure to install the same type of spring diagonally.
Flywheel nut
3. Changing from the standard "S" to "H" will increase the initial spring tension, changing the timing at which the clutch engages.
