Billing Boats (B450) Half Moon Mechant Ship - Model Boat & Fittings is a scale model Mechant Ship. Henry Hudson (1565-1611) was an English explorer, a commission of the Dutch East India Company, was to find a northern trade route to China and Japan. In April 1609 he sailed north and east on the ship the "Halve Maen" to try and find a route around the northern shore of Russia to the Pacific Ocean to reach this way. After several attempts, which were always stopped by the ice, he crossed the Atlantic to try and find a route north of America. On this trip he sailed up the Hudson River to Albany.
