A new variation of the high-performance trainer, boasting Kyosho's signature entry-level performance, now features a high-quality laminated film specification!
This new addition to the Kyosho Calmato α 40 lineup achieves an optimal balance between flight stability and direct control response, making it ideal for training. The Calmato responds smoothly even to abrupt control inputs and maintains stable posture even during unexpected low-speed stalls, delivering the best early flying experience for beginners. The film covering has been upgraded from PVC to high-quality reverse-printed Toughlon, offering both improved durability and lighter weight. A urethane clear coat can be applied to prevent wrinkling over time, and unlike PVC films, a dry-type covering film can be used to repair damage. The fuselage features Calmato's unique EP/GP convertible design that requires no gluing, which dramatically reduces assembly time. With an exquisite finish that matches competition-level standards, this single model allows both beginners and existing Calmato Alpha owners to enjoy every aspect of R/C airplane flying.

Adopting a special high quality film layering process that is less prone to wrinkles or sagging compared to PVC film, the cover film is lightweight, and significantly enhances resistance to glow fuel.

Convertible design allows either electric motor or glow fuel engine to be used as power source. If you prefer quiet flight with no oil mess, choose the EP specification.

If you like the sound of the exhaust note and feeling the power of an engine, choose the GP specifications.

Main wing halves are joined with aluminum pins, and independent left & right aileron servos enable compact transportation.
